Tightrope Moon Live at The Crafty Egg
Tightrope Moon cast a silver web over their audiences as violin, viola and vocals entwine in celestial sounds and hypnotic melodies. From gritty re-imaginings of English, Swedish and American tunes to delicate compositions and ethereal improvisations, their spiraling melodies feel like secrets whispered in the dark.
The duo’s electrifying groove-based tunes create a sound that is otherworldly, yet deeply rooted in tradition. Their songs spin out stories old and new, as haunting vocal harmonies float over pizzicato latticework. Tales of the forest merge with daydreams in the big city as they infuse their sound with a kind of magic that lingers long after the final note.
For Tightrope Moon, making music is an intimate alchemy - carefully crafting ‘other worlds’ and sharing them with audiences across the country. Individually, Seth Bye and Cori Smith have performed on stages including Sidmouth Folk Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Fire in the Mountain and Shrewsbury Folk Festival. Now, as Tightrope Moon, their magnetic performances crackle with bewitchment.

Berklee Presents: Trans Siberian Express, Park National, MLY & Yesterdays Girl
Presented by Berklee Institute of Popular Music, Berklee Presents showcases rising Bristol artists alongside Chicago native Park National.
Trans-Siberian Express
Trans-Siberian Express play Schwank Splurge-pop. The foundations of the band came about during the Bristol Kill the Bill protests of March 2021. Their first performance was int eh basement of the wonky arrow bookshop, an anarchist squat at the time. The following two years were spent forming the bands signature sound. Now, they play vigorously and consistently around the city of Bristol. most recent high;lights include supporting York legends Bull at Strange Brew and a killer set at Outer Town 2025. Throughout the years much has been said about the band: 'alright if you like trains.' 'good in a moving lift.' are some highlights, whilst other reviews are clearly searching for answers, such as: 'how do you shave your head whilst playing guitar?' or 'What is a Malaka?'
Trans-Siberian Express will delight or disappoint their fans with new music, recorded between both Factory and New Cut studios, the album is a collection of music made throughout the past few years; a labor of love for a city that has let them in. Their live performance has to be seen to be believed.
Park National
Performed entirely by songwriter-instrumentalist Liam Fagan, Park National’s cathartic catalog of songs ventures into sonic territories spanning from landmark midwest emo debut “The Big Glad” to the angsty punk of EP “I’m Here and This Is Real” (2022) and folksy indie with “mirror” (2023). Yet, despite stylistic whiplash, fans have continued growing closer to Fagan’s songwriting, tattooing song lyrics on their limbs and flying great distances to attend shows. With an anticipated full-length album on the horizon, Fagan has found his voice while embracing the fluidity of his most expansive project yet– making him a uniquely exciting songwriter to follow.
MLY
Bristol-based artist MLY blends indie-pop and folk to create self proclaimed ‘sad-gal-campfire-bangers’. Her self-produced sound merges live instrumentation with airy synths and intricate samples, creating a distinctive blend that’s both introspective and expansive. Her third single Dog Fight is a result of those years, and further pushes the boundaries of her lyricism following previous singles Madonna and Lovers. Her releases have seen support from BBC Bristol, BBC Introducing, Ujima Radio, Bristol 247, and Clunk Magazine. Recent performances include iconic Bristol venues Rough Trade, Thekla, and Crofters Rights, intimate sets for Sofar Sounds, as well as festivals including Dot to Dot and Harbourfest.
Yesterday's Girl
Newcomers Yesterday's Girl draw inspiration from 80s icons like Fleetwood Mac or Talking Heads to create a sound that is eminently nostalgic and contemporary. Intricate harmonies layer over cleverly thought out and fastidiously timed instrumentation, whilst lyrically the tracks explore everyday situations and anxieties. Captivating to watch perform, with no released music to date, they truly must be experienced live.
Free entry! Doors from 7.30pm at The Crafty Egg Church Road. Limited capacity. Arrive early to not be disappointed.

BUNCHES: Ben Cippola + Anna Colette
Welcome to Bunches: a monthly live music get-together hosted by Elly Hopkins and featuring two original guest artists, each sharing an intimate solo set before coming together in collaboration. For May we welcome:
ANNA COLETTE
Bermuda born songwriter and painter Anna Colette’s music captures classic folk styles combined with a modern take. Her classic songwriting embraces her deeply introspective personality with a therapeutic writing approach; speaking to her life journey and navigating womanhood.
BEN CIPOLLA
Ben Cipolla has proven to be a master of writing catchy songs over the past few years. His latest critically acclaimed album ‘Casa Mia’, explores a deep, meaningful connection with his Sicilian roots. Blending elements of jazz, soul and indie-pop, Cipolla radiates an effortless joy: with soul-soothing voice and a distinctive percussive guitar style, inspired by the likes of Nick Drake, Jack Johnson and Lianne La Havas.
Hosted by ELLY HOPKINS
Songwriter Elly Hopkins releases her debut EP in 2025. A soulful, rich vocal, and a rootsy sound inspired by 70's southern rock, folk and soul, these are songs of provocation and confession - tender and emotive.
